Research transportation methods
It’s important to know that you have options regarding shipping methods when shipping your car. Two commonly used methods are open carry and secure carry, each with advantages and disadvantages.
UK Kenya shipping offers open-air shipping which is the most popular and cheapest option and the company will help you ship, your vehicle on an open-air courier. While this method does expose your car to weather and road conditions, it is generally safe and is often used for stock makes and models.
On the other hand, if your ride is a luxury, vintage, or exotic car, consider an enclosed carriage. As the name suggests, your car sits inside a fully enclosed coach, protecting it from the elements and debris on the road.
However, it is more expensive than its open counterpart. When choosing a mode of transportation, consider factors such as the value of your car, the distance to travel, and your budget.
Get quotes for auto shipping.
Once you’ve narrowed down potential trucking companies and determined your preferred mode of transportation, it’s time to dip your toes into the waters of auto transportation quotes. Quotes can vary depending on vehicle size and weight, travel distance, mode of transportation, and even the time of year.

However, if you need your car picked up or delivered on a specific date, many companies offer like UK Kenya shipping offer expedited services for an additional fee. Just like planning a trip, it’s about finding the perfect balance between your schedule and the reality of the road.
Check the waybill
The waybill is not just a simple document; it is both the travel diary for your car and your insurance policy. This vital document records your vehicle’s condition on collection and delivery. Upon pickup, you and the driver will thoroughly inspect your car and note any dents, scratches, or other damage. It’s wise to take photos for your records.
When your car is delivered, do another inspection and compare its condition with the notes and photos from the van. If there is new damage, this should be noted on the bill of lading. If you need to file a complaint, read this document carefully and don’t miss it. Your car’s passport shows where it’s been and what’s happened along the way.
Why ship a car instead of driving?
Choosing to transport the car instead of driving it yourself is like choosing to fly instead of taking a train trip. While moving may seem like a cheaper option at first, be aware of hidden costs:
